I have never managed yet to accidently rip up a field, but it is bad game design, you can tell by the reaction of the devs to defend it and distract! :D

Rip up is well possibly used by less than 1% of the players intentionally, ever.
Rip up is well possibly used (intentionally, and not interrupted) in less than 0.1% of all field interactions.

It would be much more efficient, if it was not there in the first place.
Yet there is "inspect", too, which actually is useful, so the menu is needed, and a simple single click action would not be possible here.
(Meaning to remove the whole menu and make rightclick = harvest, which would reduce the work of harvesting a field by 1 click, which would add up big time counting all that players and fields...)

So the bottom line is, just leave it as it is.

While the "rip up" option is nice, I definitely liked the old system better where if you right-clicked a growing field, the inspect window automatically popped up. Not because I've accidentally ripped up a field, but because it gets annoying having to go through that extra step when you just want to look through your fields' harvest bonuses.

Proposal: Put a "rip up" button inside the inspection window, eliminating the need for a flower menu on unfinished crops. This way, there is no additional adventure command that needs to be added, the rip up option is still available, and looking at a field's harvest bonuses won't require any extra steps.

Hey, look! A quality, thought-out, and constructive idea that neither eliminates a functioning/useful mechanic, nor does it hinge on the development team being petty, prideful idiots. Thank you for chiming in and being a good beta tester.

You'd have more of this, if you'd be nicer to your beta testers. :P

Also +1 for bologna_man00 and his idea!

Can we please have this now?

I used to only rarely have the problem with spamming stuff onto fields being interrupted by the flower menu, when there was something wrong with my internet connection. Since the last update or so despite no change in my internet, this happens all the time and it has turned farming from fun into a very unpleasant chore. It was annoying enough to have it happen on the odd occasion, and to have to click inspect to look at my fields. When i was new, i had been attracted to the game mostly by farming and this likely would have been enough to make me quit. The menu popping up during spamming seems not to be an uncommon problem and farming is important so i think its very important this gets fixed.

A button inside the UI is a bit more cumbersome then I want to deal with. I do agree that the cons for this action can outweigh the pros though so for the next patch I'll just remove it.

I wanted to complain about how often I am interrupted while spamming coal but then I remembered I make 1/15th the trips back and forth from the coal clamps
I still think that that, and the cart noise, are trolls by JC. *tinfoil hat*
