names are not unique, unless your an idiot throwing your HS everywhere and have your friend perms set to the default white tab you should not have to worry about that scenario ever. dumbing the game down to hold the hand of tards that can not be bothered to take basic precautions or use any of the several colors for their intended purpose is not the proper direction, additionally an auto purge of dead characters takes away from the mystique of who killed who, did soandso really get killed or are they faking and so on.


I am not dumbing the game down I'm saving processing speed and area. Smaller- actual friends list takes less space and less actual time realizing who is online when all those who died (under your AXE or another) have been removed.

Just because you killed your own and removed them off your list doesn't mean the rest of us don't need help knowing they are dead. There is currently no system in the game that broadcasts death... in any form short of the top 10 list...and I doubt the majority would fill that list!~

Even if the 'old' world there would have been a rumor mill.

Perhaps if I can't get what I want- maybe Devs could include the rumor mill factor... if enough folks say someone is dead... then they are removed from everyone's list. etc...

This idea is very old, and last I heard, John didn't want it for exactly the reasons you've just been given, so please stop filling up this thread with it.

Torches ... why on earth does putting a lit torch into an inventory/backpack extinguish it? This seems a little dangerous to me ... even moreso if said inventory space contained things like kindling, coal, humus, flour, etc that could provide potential material to cause a player some serious damage. A bucket of water seems like a bit safer way to extinguish a live flame without turning oneself into a living (not for long) torch instead.

Cliff lift - static piece of machinery that allowed transport of carryable items up/down cliffs ... or perhaps allow a single player character carrying a single object overhead to move up/down cliffs. Would need to be built on a cliffside of course, using maybe a 2x2 top and bigger at the bottom as it would require animal labour to drive the lift mechanism, although perhaps another player could do this at a phlegm cost. Non-movable once built. The rope component of the build requirement dependent upon distance from clifftop to bottom. Must be built top down so as to not provide means of scaling cliffs that should not be scalable.

As an afterthough, make it sabotageable, fraying the rope to give out under tension, injuring players who fall from sabotaged rigs - particularly nasty bonus damage if they are carrying objects up a sabotaged rig, blood damage, broken bones etc.

Allow logs to be dropped into rivers and automatically move downstream. Build catchment rope across a stream to block logs - which would, incidentally, prevent other river traffic unless someone were to destroy the catchment, which would of course have consequences if it were to be on claimed land. Allow logs to be ridden, just because - could even make it a little bit difficult or a minigame, in that you need to keep repositioning yourself on the log as it moves from under you, or else you fall off and it continues to drift downstream. This also paves the way for an idea that came up some years ago - sawmill ... kind of like a stamp mill, but for boards, and can be built on dry land or shallow water.

Would it be possible to make the item on the cursor switchable with equipped items like those in the hand slots?
Need something? Here is my Shop (Including some useful info for new/returning players at the bottom of the first post)

Hiking Pole - reduce bb cost of wander/forage ... can't be stored in a tool belt, so needs to be manually swapped out for weapons. Causes tripping if sprint is engaged while it's equipped.
Trekking Pole - shop version - as above, but additionally reduces yb cost of forage.
