why should we have to wear a mask for a bad mechanic? More worthless silver sinks/grinding to reset your face to look normal isn't a way to justify this.

A notoriety type system maybe needed for some balancing to happen. Perhaps it seems less mysterious initially, but with proper added content maybe it would help, and add more depth to the game. It could open up room for things like disguise skills, etc. for things to get better change will be needed. I am merely putting ideas out there to think about build upon or to ignore at your whim.

So, you want a skill to reverse an idea that isn't in the game to begin with?

The problem I see is, why wear a mask if you're good? If you wear a mask there's no "mystery" because it's just as obvious as not wearing one

So everyone wears a mask so that no one knows if they are good or bad.....why even have the system at all?

Molyneux had an interesting thing there that really didn't do anything in the games he developed. Besides, the characters aren't high enough resolution to do this meaningfully.

Thought the same thing.

Also, how would it be "bad" for the game? It's like in EVE and everyone having a publicly visible security status. It's mostly meaningless as it's not the people at the extreme negatives you have to watch for (they're pretty obvious), but the people that aren't even flagged as criminal. I haven't seen anywhere that this would stop an "uber-good" person from rofl-stomping your face into the ground.
