Imo mapping should be presented through the devs themselves the second a map is generated. Making us walk the map for tiles just isn't cool when it comes to wanting new players to enjoy their stay here

I would enjoy exploration if I had a decent map. Fun to remove the "fog" from the map.

As the others said, if it would be even possible [I'm not much of a coder either], it would be most likely just the default client, so with modded clients still allowed it could be only a feature for newbies.
I do wish that modded clients were not allowed too, but I don't see this kind of approach from the devs coming any time soon [if not ever]. I'd gladly use it if it was the only option even if it didn't have the radar [what I'd even prefer, since it adds some meaning to the forage and the survival aspect as you can't spot other players on the minimap].

So to sum it up - with modded clients still allowed it'd be a feature for just a part of the playerbase.

The only reason i can see people wanting to keep Salem from becoming a browser based game, would be for illegitimate reasons.

Still cannot see an argument against why it would be a bad idea, except for you guys saying "Its a bad idea" and nothing more.

Performance problems ? there would be no performance problems if its done correctly, if actually introduced an option to turn off animations, and a reduced graphical setting. (Like disabling smoke from buildings, coal, tree leafs etc etc etc, because there are current mods which can do this to ease stress on a rig, so i cannot see why such options cannot be made into the base client.

Come on guys, actually try for once in your life to put forth a good argument against peoples opinions or try to add to a thread, instead of posting random useless *****, and saying "its bad because i say so".
