Rude much? No, I'm not lying. Salem is designed with PvP and related activities as the basis. Everything else, the base building, the 'leveling' system, everything revolves around that. Sure we love the crafting and sandbox aspects and they are certainly vital to the overall game, but they're not the main point.
As far as a custom house goes, I'd love to see an ability to add additions, cellars, whatnot, to houses after they are built, and some of that might be possible, but the systems we have in place now would need some pretty heavy modification to add anything like what you're suggesting.
