with TT becoming a public village for new players and old players that just don't want to put up with the drama of a being in an organized village... i had a thought.
while my group of villages has always had alliances with other villages and help each other out and stuff... this villages is a little different now that it is for complete noobie chars.

it would be nice to have in game alliance mechanics built in to the game to make is so you cant attack allied villagers unless they are on your claim (and/or) you turn crime acts on. (or allow the mayor to pick what one of these apply - always allowing people to attack some one that attacks them tho.)
*would be best if any one who joins the alliance had to have the same set of rules for PVP tho*

rule sets that apply to allies: (yes/no)
can open gates if have key
can inter act with *container type* (key needed for locked ones)
can inter act with *building type*
waist powers
(any other ideas)
