No. Why do you need 500 leather? I've never kept more than like 10 pieces in storage at any one time and never had any problem. Same with cloth though I keep a little more around. No, if you want to hoard, you have to pay for it.

If you plan on making a cloth sessions then you do have to keep a lot of clothes. Same with leather. Moreover instead of storage boxes you could allow the creation of bolts of cloth.

For example:
New Recipe Bolt of Sea Island Cloth: 10 Sea Island Cloth + 5 Fibers.
Bolt of Cloth can be cut for 9 Cloth + 1 Raggy Hem.

+1 on this

It's not hoarding to gather that many materials. If you are focused on raising one skill I know someone who gathers a large amount of pillows, potions, and other inspirations to do a big crafting session and raise up one skill. Not sure why this would be discouraged or called hoarding when that's exactly what one does in a large gluttony session, which is rewarded by the chef npc.

Your last comment on dross is from july, and simply says it should be added to stockbins, yet I fail to see any last word on that, enlight me please! :-)

I think there are lots of things that should be added to stock bins.

Dross
Stone
Pig Iron
Wrought Iron
Blister Steel
Clay
Wood Blocks - for their chips for farming
Mortar
Cotton

Basically any raw material you could conceivably need hundreds if not thousands of for building/crafting. Those items are your stock. Therefor they should go in a bin.

As Meow rightly said, you can already stack an infinite number of logs into one space without them even blocking any space at all, so woodblocks are already the most easily stored item in the game.
Stone... would fit in nicely, but you don't need to store it as: 1.) it's easily and readily available to anyone in any quantity and 2.) rubble is already storable in stockbins and serves the same purpose
For iron, it would make a lot of sense to store pig iron, and due to that wrought iron as well, not so much steel, but again, would fit in nicely.
Clay... yea, would be nice, I used up at least 2k+ clay that was not used for bricks or mortar, so it is a thing needed in masses.
Mortar... does not store well I think ^^ ...don't make it too easy.
Cotton... no, faster cotton cleaning and weaving is needed, but storage is not really a problem, though it would be nice as someone already suggested to be able to store cloth inside a wardrobe.
