Any fix for maps the use over 3GB of memory...

I've got 3 maps at 500MB each that I can't link together without getting an error.

PC has 16GB of RAM available... plus SSD HDD page file... driving me nuts.

Our progam does not merge maps in to a single file an so it is not limited with the map size. It merges files from sessions in to a single arhive and allows you to browse them in different zoom levels.

For those who are still using our tools, we've updated the Salem Map Tool.
The program has been re-worked and map merging has been speeded up significantly. Enjoy :)

Program manual has been added to the folder.

Changes in v. 2.5.4:
1. Map merger has been re-worked. It takes just a few minutes to merge two archives of 50k tiles each, performing tile location check as well. ;)
2. Added option to switch-off tile location check although this check has been optimised and does not take much time.
3. Added menu option to check archive for duplicate tiles.
4. Highlights new tiles after map merge
5. Ctrl + LMB selects tiles for deletion in 1:1 zoom level. Pressing DEL will move selected tiles to Deleted folder.

Changes in v. 2.5.9:
Added hotkeys G and M for map grid and markers display.

You must have missed to copy the following settings.xml file
Thought it was obvious since you are the first one to report this bug. Fixed it right away. Should not be a problem any more.
Thank you for the report.

Current version 2.5.11
Fixed the bug with missing settings.xml file

Downloading right now waiting for the server to be back up. Will edit if I have any questions.

So far it seems neat, thank you for sharing.

Thanks for sharing your tool. It seems like this will be very useful for large map folders.

I am getting errors where incorrect tiles are shown at some zoom levels.

However, when I zoom in to 1:1, the offending tiles are not shown. Is there a workaround to get the correct map at all zoom levels?

Yes. The tool re-zooms entire map if it finds no new tiles during map merge. You can run map merge twice in a row or switch sessions folder to an empty ones to do so.

I found your mapping tool to be the best one for salem.
Didn't check the new version yet but the previous one was pretty fast already. Merging new maps to my 1gb map(72k tiles) was taking just 3-16mins. (and I only have 2,2ghz)

The only thing I was really missing from your map tool is more zoom levels.

Would be really great if we could get 3-5 more zoom levels ;)
