Hello. Ive tried your mod and i liked it for the most part.

However my computer is not made of Wood. Would there be any chance of getting a grid layout with higher pixel amount? I tried 11cells as well.

Not from me. ;) I'm too much of a perfectionist to dare to try to dive into making the tile-textures again. This was supposed to be a 2 day project and I ended up spending over a week on it.

I thought about using 16x16 textures so that the grid-lines could be more properly centered, but decided early on to go "All the way" and drop the texture size down to 8x8, and it's pretty much gonna stay there. You will take your negligible FPS boost compared to 16x, and YOU WILL ENJOY IT!!!

You did not get quite enough kudos for this yet.
My main computer can play vanilla eneder with 3-4 clients at a time no problem, but my laptop can't even handle a single one (and is struggling with 11cell).

THANK YOU
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Making the game playable on Laptops was my goal! The lowest FPS I have encountered so far is 5fps, and that's when at max zoom looking at the ripe cotton at my homestead. Boston, which historically has been the bane of my FPS now gets up to the low 20s.

There is no texture in the game left untouched except, mysteriously, churches. Couldn't get any changes to show up on them. Must be all the holy water. Either that or the version number in their META file is wrong.

All tiles, all terrain objects (buildings, hats, herbs, crops, trees) and clothing items (everything but hats) have had their dimensions decreased to at least 1/4. This represents a 90% decrease in the number of texels that must be rendered. As such, I do not think that there can be any further performance gain from decreasing texture sizes.

The main advantage that this mod has over Chiprel's LowGFX mod is that I used better image-resizing algorithms that result in smoother results even when the pixels are visible. Also I went and took the graphics from ".salem/cache" and so now all of the tiles and graphics have low-res substitutions.

Although maybe the main advantage is that this is the only tileset that has both visible grid-lines AND doesn't look terrible (no offense usernm!).

I concur. I am always enjoying the effort he puts behind the scenes and how he brings that to the forum.

Minecraft textures? Bah! 256 pixels of PURE DECADENCE.

You think pixels are cheap? You think they are free? Each of the 64 pixels in my textures are all meticulously cut into perfect squares, and lovingly colored so that they can vaguely represent the idea of things upon which you so carelessly trod.

Some people just have no idea, man. Some people...
