Ender's Client "Haven error!": Can't Use Ender's Client

Postby Paradoxyc » Tue Jan 05, 2016 6:53 am

Hello,

Downloaded Latikai to try the client out, and now I am unable to use Ender's client. Every time I try to log into any character from the character selector, it crashes. Latikai and Default work fine, but I would like to play on Ender's client. I deleted all Salem files and redownloaded only the default client and Ender's client. I still get the same error. Here is the error:

java.lang.NullPointerException
at haven.MapView.setcam(MapView.java:1363)
at haven.MapView.<init>(MapView.java:542)
at haven.GameUI.makechild(GameUI.java:368)
at haven.UI.newwidget(UI.java:176)
at haven.RemoteUI.run(RemoteUI.java:65)
at haven.MainFrame.run(MainFrame.java:287)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

If anyone can help that would be very much appreciated. Thank you

hmm - it seems that you used a weird camera mode in my client.
Unfortunately that cannot be fixed only in Ender's client.
You need to boot up my client and pick another camera mode from the option menu, close the client and start Ender's.
I thought the camera names were the same between the two, but apparently not :(
The 'follow' cam should be a safe choice.
once in Ender's again, you just open up the menu and select whatever mode you want - it should work without further issues from then on.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

I should have asked this the first time around, but can you remember which camera you had selected?
If possible I should probably try to not have this happen.

"sucky"

I usually use smooth freestyle, but your smooth freestyle is the same as the regular freestyle

ah yes but I hated when the freestyle in default changed.
Originally it was the current freestyle in my client, but JC then changed it to restrict the speed at which the camera could turn.

Will have a look to prevent this in the future - thanks!
