Removing smoke

Postby Kandarim » Fri Apr 24, 2015 3:44 pm

As I gather some people have issues with it/blame their issues on them, I have recompiled the smoke res file into two versions:

https://donnessime.github.io/Salem/nosmoke.zip
https://donnessime.github.io/Salem/littesmoke.zip

Both files are installed as any other custom resource file: simply extract to ~/Salem.

This will allow you to check whether your issues disappear when there is no smoke anymore.

I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

What about finery forge ? Does it also remove smoke from it?
Would be cool to remove coal/cementation and leave finery forge intact :).
Alot of smoke on screen even on high end pc can cause some serious fps problems. (100 coal piles for example).

nope, there is no distinction between smoke sources - this is why the littesmoke.zip exists :)
