this was working amazingly well. occasionally crashed. but now it crashed and won't start again. the error says "illegal url redirect" and the normal client doesn't let me click anything.

Yup, could use some assistance here as well . Opening as XML file editor, what app should be running this?

--- Figured it out (duh).

Save file. Rename file name as extention type ".jnlp". wallah.

Open updater.jnlp in notepad or your favorite text editor (notepad++ etc). Replace all the text with the new xml. Save AS a new file name, like updatermirror.jnlp or something. Double click on your new updatermirror.jnlp and presto.

I must be failing something somehow cause it appears I do not have "updater.jnlp" on my system anywhere..where is it located?

Just save the file given in the link on your drive, then change extention type to jnlp.

Its not a file link for me, it opens up in XML editor. If I c/p the stuff into a notepad, I dont know how to change the extention type. :/
