Cannot log into game

Says Username or password invalid, any solution?

Mmm, I forget the exact error message. Have you logged into the vanilla client in the account section up at the top of the screen? If you don't do that you usually can't log into the custom clients.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

I tried dowloading client from http://plymouth.seatribe.se/java/salem.jnlp and it works 
, i suppose it was outdated

Yes, they've started adding in multiple server support, and that requires a fresh download.
