Tutorial in Plymouth misses clothing chest step

The new tutorial is definitely an improvement. But the right hand hints that say "move to the person with the brown head", "talk with the captain" etc. miss the part about getting the clothes from the chest and changing appearance.

Personally, I'm having a hard time relating to the tutorial. It was obviously made because some are confused by both character creation and the early game (not always or necessarily for bad reasons), but it just makes me think of this. And I don't like that analogy. ^^

I'm not sure it is an improvement. I'm all for making computer games more accessible, but dumbing things down instead of educating the player just doesn't do it for me. (It's why I say some of the best games were made 15-20+ years ago.)

I agree (see my link). If you have any better suggestions to how the problem could be solved, I will happily remove the tutorial. :)

Without an in-game manual, I don't. (Saw the link... watched it, laughed heartily. I miss Doom, Quake, and Unreal...)

There is basically an ingame manual, though. ;)

I'm almost certain that the tutorial tells you to open the chest. It's pretty straightforward from there.

When I did the tutorial it told me to talk to the dude who changes your gender, then to learn childish things, then to pick a name then to board the ship. Luckily I knew to change my appearance first or instructions would have made me miss it.
