Dead animals?

Postby Sevenless » Thu Aug 02, 2012 5:38 pm

Is anyone else finding randomly dead animals lying around? We've seen a dead beaver and a dead cricket now. We've yet to see anyone around (this is within a very short walk of our base, so I'm relatively certain it's not other players), and why would you leave a dead beaver anyway?

It seems odd and we're finding more dead animals as time passes.

Edit: Ayup, have seen animals fighting each other and talked to people about it. Neato!

It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

That's astounding~! I always loved that feature in HnH; when you'd find a fox chasing down rabbits and chickens which you could then steal and keep as your own. The fox wasn't so clever that it was a guaranteed kill and you'd likely have to chase them for a bit but it really brought the world to life. I can't wait to witness this.

That's mildly horrifying. I imagine that needs to be worked out to be a bit better of a match still. =)

Awesome to know this is a feature not a bug :D I would like to see this expanded to perhaps dropping "partially eaten" corpses that don't drop skins perhaps.

Snakes also kill rabbits - but I don't know if they can take crickets and beavers too.

I came across 3 snakes fighting a group of rabbits.

One of the rabbits was a March Hare.

The March Hare won.

I collected 3 dead rabbits and 3 dead snakes.
