Havent experienced this myself, terrified of bears still atm, but from what I have read its a glitch and the only way out is to get someone else to cut down the trees around you. Use an alt or a mate, or wait for a server restart. Others may have newer information but I think its the only way at present. Sorry pal.

Known issue. Best suggestion is to log out and find something else to do or get a friend to come run it off. If you're stuck waiting it out, the report is that it can an hour or two before the character is logged out and ported home KO'd.

by known issue, do you mean working as intended, or there is something wrong with the way it works?

there is something wrong with the way it works: the creatures should stop attacking once you KO.
Or at least, we assume that, because otherwise that'd be a big mountain of DHU

Known issue: The devs are aware that there is an issue with it. Us players aren't informed of what or when any potential fixes will come.
