minimize = window disappeared = killed by snake

I was playing just moments ago and like the title says, I minimized the game to check this very forum. and the game window disappeared.
normally I would just restart and log back in blah blah blah...
but what struck me as odd is the fact that I heard in the background (still no game window present) a snake killing my character.
I could not do anything about it because, of course, my game window was gone...
just thought it was odd and discouraging o_o
