Password Reset Loop

Postby Skaulic-II » Fri Jan 11, 2013 1:09 pm

I had to make a secondary account to report that after changing my password on my Original Account I cannot log into the game and the password reset form doesn't actually change the password.

Anyone have any suggestions?

It did change password for me correctly(twice). Not today but few days ago.(changed pwd of 2 accounts)
Are you sure that you didn't have capslock turned on while changing pwd?

If you can't access your account then try pming TotalyMoo. (he's paradox community manager)

Its not the first time Ive tried to change password actually, as I wanted to post on the forums. Everytime I tried to initiate a password change it just looped. I made my client forget the stored password to see if there was a password reset option on that screen (there wasnt) and now I have forgotten the original password and I cannot change my password following an email reset option as it just loops.

I've PM'ed TotallyMoo, thanks for the pointer.

TotallyMoo said he was investigating the issue and would get back ASAP. He told me to PM loftar and ask for a Manual Reset and while Ive spoken with loftar Im still stuck and wonder how much of my stuff is falling into neglect (Turkeys, fields etc) during all the time I cant log in.

Overall :(

If you have set a Homestead Secret on your character you can create another account, another character and teleport to your claim with the help of the wilderness guide.

Not only that, if you can't get on the account that's the claim holder, you'll be stuck without permissions, too. If you don't have black skills and good humors, you really won't be able to do much of anything.

So this happened at my claim whilst I have been unable to log back into the game because of the password issues:
