I just set up an account and clicked on lauch app. A .jnlp file gets downloaded. From what I can tell this is some Java format.
How do I install Salem on my pc?
I'm using Windows 7.

If you have Java properly installed on your system, then the file should be properly associated with Java Web Start and launch when you open it.

How can you tell if its installed "properly". Unless it came with windows Java was never installed.
I'm guessing Salem need a JAVA installation as well?
Is there instuctions on which version of Java to install or anything like that. It didn't come with the intro email.

Ok I figured it out.
I am using a 64 bit machine. However IE defaults to using IE 32 bit, and you can't set IE64bit to be the default.
So I had to do a search and install Java (I'm not sure if you should use version 6 or 7) 32 bit version.
Something should be added somewhere in the intro email, explaining that you have to install Java.

It defaulted to 32 bit, because you were using the 32 bit internet explorer. If you want 64bit, then uninstall java and run Internet Explorer 64bit version and run the test again.
I use 64bit internet Explorer, and 64bit Java 7.
