Hey everyone.
Did not found any thread refering to this so i´ll just try here ^^

My problem is, that i lost a boat full of chests ... happend after I couldn´t put i down anywhere so I relogged...
The Problem that I couldnt put it down anywhere happend to me before and after a relog it usually laid right beside me, exept this last time.

I hope anyone has an idea why i cant put it down and first of all why the hell it disappeard ^^
Maybe some gm could check it and give me back my boat and the 4 chests.

You'll need to be a bit clearer on exactly what occurred before I try to explain mechanics. I have my guesses, but I don't want to make any assumptions, as there are a few different possibilities. If you were having issues with anything (bugs, etc.), please document those, too.

As far as returning the items, no, we don't have in-game GMs to handle this sort of thing currently. The policy is also not to "reimburse" game items as this is a beta, there will be bugs, and it'd be near impossible keeping up with every request. There are specific circumstances for reimbursement, but these are only in cases of real money being involved, not game-generated items. Ok then.
First time this "error" occured i picked up the boat, walked to a river and wasn´t able to put it into the water.
So, i walked back to my claim but still couldn´t put it down, i relogged and when i was back ingame the boat laid next to where i logged out.
After that I could handle the boat normally and put it in the river, packed 4 chests in it and went off.
At my destination I left the boat, unloaded the chests and gathered some lime. With 60 lime gathered, i got back into the boat and went back.
Back home the lazy me wanted to try out if i could leave the chests in the boat and carry it back with them, to unload later.
But when i couldn´t put it down on my claim, i thought it was because of the chests and went back to the river.
There it was still impossible for me to put down the boat, so I did the same thing as before and logged out a few steps away from the river.
This time the boat was gone ^^

I hope this is enough, cant think of anymore right now.

Thanks for the follow up. My first thought was that someone just made off with the boat in the time you were gone. It may not be the case, though. Items that are carried (be it in inventory or overhead) are permanently destroyed if dropped in water. In some cases, it's the only way to get rid of an item. I could be off on this, but if you were carrying the boat and near water, if it fell in the water, it may have been destroyed in the same way as any other item.

Do boats get destroyed when dropped on water??

When set down, things should function normally. When dropped from logging out or booted... that's the question. It's a theory and very well could be wrong.

additional thought: It could simply be decay, too. I don't know what the amount of time elapsed was or the state the boat was in after being used.

I dont think that it was the decay there becaue it was the second time i was using it and about 2 days old.
There where no signs of an decay like change in color or shape.
At first i thought too, that it could have been destroyed because i "dropped" it into the river, even it´s a boat ^^
