Went home from Boston, suddenly flooded?

I only started playing a couple days ago, so my home isn't a proper claim yet, just a little lean-to out in the woods. I traveled to Boston for a minute, and then traveled back home... to find this.

Needless to say, that's not it's usual state. I can walk right up the straight cliff on the left, but not back down. Traveling away and then back fixed it.
