when i start Salem i get an error msg "Unable to launch the application" It also says

I updated the java 7 client and i downloaded the game client again and dident use the shortcut on desktop but i have same problem....

its working with Ender client

I changed to java6 and the client works on all my computers. Java 7 and Salem on 64 bits win system dosent work well......

If you reinstall Java 7, make sure you have the right version installed. There's been issues with the auto-detect on the website, mostly coming from the browser used if I understand correctly.
