Well, it is a know issue to the Developers, and happens to a lot of new players and/or returning players.
Whether it is a bug or not is a matter of opinion.
...If you do a forum search here (including the update board) it has been raised to discus a lot lately.
So, I guess riding in a canoe is also considered (fairly) as being on a mount.

Don't lift anything while mounted is the point, including trying it from a mountable craft-station.

The only way to remedy it until the Developers address it, is to just carry whatever you picked up until you KO from yellow-bile exhaustion. So, just walk around and don't eat anything until you KO.
At KO you will finally drop what you lifted, and spawn back at your homestead or leanto.

KO = Knock-Out

The point of this thread is not about mechanics anymore. Its about bug abuse with lifting things on a mount when you arent suppose to and now some suddle mentions of cricket cliff hopping which is also a bug that has been around since the dawn of mounts.

Honestly, just keep abusing these and pretend you didn't read the forums :ugeek: . As long as you don't use the cricket hopping during pvp, then don't worry about getting banned for carrying things on mounts either when you arent suppose to.
