harmless driver error

Postby saltmummy » Wed Jan 25, 2017 11:53 pm

I'm getting a driver error with salem on my new computer. It throws the following message at me

"Can't find the name of Intel ICD OpenGL Driver!"

It tosses this at me 8 or 9 times, and then salem runs normally. Does anybody know what this is about?

after some googling, i'm going to guess that your java webstart linked to the client is a 32-bit java, while your default java install is 64 bit, as are your graphics drivers (or the other way around).

The launcher tries to load OpenGL drivers (for some reason? it doesn't need them) but fails as they don't exist, and then the client starts with the same memory signature as the drivers and everything works out.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
