As seen, the field is fully covered by the range of the scarecrow, but still has 600% upkeep (The scarecrow has been up for all 6 planting cycles) Not sure what's up here.

but suppose wqith the 3 scarecrows it would be unwise to have them outside walls, and even then i doubt any witch would waste time on this.

I likely would have seen them comming in or out of the outer wall with me, I think it's more likley the crow sat with it's 'center' outside of scarecrow range but was still able to peck at the field. After some more thought this seems like the likely case.

Unrelated, but for the most part yes. I'm the only one in the town. the area is p-claimed with only my alts having permissions (No trespassing scents anywhere) -and- the whole area is walled in with me being the only one with keys.
