Bump. I have tried all the suggested fixes and none of them will work.

I have an iMac OSX 10.8.2, 8GB RAM. :(

I also have Windows 8 x64 installed on a separate partition using Bootcamp, and Salem works flawlessly on it.

I just saw a post about 10.8.x the other day and am now having issues finding it. I'll dig some and update this post with a link.

edit: found it. Had to finesse Google a bit to get it to come up.

I'm also getting this problem and have tried all the fixes. When I revert back to 6 and try and run Salem it says that there is no Java found please go install it.

I'm running Macbook Pro 10.8.2.

I am using a Mac and have the same problem. I cleared my Java cache, then un-and-reinstalled the whole thing. Still getting the error, though.

EDIT: I tried the steps suggested in the post above this one (rolling it back to Java 6), and I got a "Runtime needs to be enabled" error and a prompt to re-update to Java 7. I'm literally going in circles here.

Same here, cant get it to work, I have tried all the suggested fixes, java 6 etc.

I have tried on both my iMac and my MacBook Pro, same problem. Both running Mountain Lion.

So the problem is NOT solved, and the suggestions is not af FIX.

Any help is appreciated

Has anybody tried taking these java issues up with Mac technical support?

I believe loftar has stated the exact same thing. The bug is in Apple's implementation of the Java VM, and a workaround in code may not even be possible.
