Are there new cave-in rules or is there a bug? I have a cave-in right next to a mine support in my mine. I just built another mine support and still can't plug the cave-in.

One mine support does not give you 100% guarantee. 2 supports would be required. However, cave ins with 1 support are extremely rare. You were just unlucky

To stop the cave-in, be sure to build the support directly beneath the unstable tile.

do note that if you do this, as soon as you remove that support the cave in will re-occur.

I built a second support. I thought I built it directly under my cave-in. Maybe I was a little off. Apparently a second support doesn't guarantee the cave-in is stopped, because it didn't stop.

a cave in is ONLY Stopped if you build the support right under it.
