Can't log in.

I miss Salem. Seriously; no other game has offered me so much anticipation on discovery, etc... Now though- not sure; all the changes. Suspect there's nothing left to find or appreciate?

All said- I did try to log in; but I can't. I checked Java thread and it's not helping. Oh well; pretty sure there are any number who are glad I can't return.

Using Java 8, update 60.

Guess I'll have to look to re-population or another game to fulfill my itch.

ArcheAge is about to merge- and it's the worst possibly coupling. Patron accounts will expire soon. Looking for another MMO to potentially spend money on. Sucks; but it won't be this one.

You should post a proper crash log if you suspect java is the issue. And it's sad to see that all your time spent on Salem hasn't thickened your skin to the point of having the patience to overcome such a small hurdle.

That said, coming back to just throw a fresh "I quit" thread up seems pretty negative :p if you already gave up why post? And if you do want to play why not at least try to find a solution? :/

I haven't completely given up on AA yet; I spent 6 hours looking for another solution. Alas, I have to balance my gaming with my work which requires me to maintain a certain level of encryption which this game has never permitted. Could almost call it hacking my own company just to have the chance to play this one.

I'll try again in a week or so or longer. It will not my my primary or secondary... but some tertiary account. I'm assuming that my original account's alt's goods are still viable? I don't know; but I'm working on that premise. It behooves me to learn the system and a method of storage before attempting to salvage whatever goods I once had on my alts...

That you went from Beta to real world without a wipe is the biggest negative. Seriously?!

But then you have a tiny population, no advertising, and no real want of it. Any serious game community wouldn't be having the issues I'm experiencing...

IDK... maybe Chief really is the owner... max profit for least overhead and all his buddies have heads/tails over any newbs.

Missing this game is like missing Wow vanilla. It's gone... it'll never come back. Have to wonder... with all the hurdles...why bother?

Go back to your other game...... No one wants you here..... I will hunt for you again if you return...... Maybe you can't login for a reason......

Can you not log in or will the client not run? There's a huge difference. If you can't log in, you get an error message on the log in screen. If Java isn't working correctly, you get a message from Java, either a crash report or you get an error dialog. If you are willing to post those, someone can possibly try to help. If not, there's not really much point of this thread in B&T.

It's was/IS a java problem... but I logged in and I'm relearning how to move and interact with the game. Game crashed pretty fast though. If I continue to have problems... I'll post the crash log.

Thanks for 'egging' me on. Couldn't have done it without you.
