Java Error and unable to log in my main

Postby artifirst » Fri Aug 21, 2015 10:54 am

Hello,

I got an error when I was wandering the country, with a sudden halt of my client (the Ender version). I tried to reconnect, and when my character appears, the client immediatly crash. I tried to log on my alt, and it works without any trouble. I tried out with the official client, but I got the same behaviour.

The error reported is able here: http://pastebin.com/8Xa7bmPP

Thank in advance for any support you could provide me.

Hmm this seems to be an issue with smokes/particles.
Not sure how you can fix it, but two things that sometimes help with weird crashes:
- Turn off the shadows (e.g. by logging onto your alt) and try again

- switch the rendering mode by typing
Code: Select all
:gl meshmode d

in the command console of the client (simply start typing : and the console input will open)
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

I think I tried almost all mindable solutions to get back control on my main character. Now I'm preparing the rope (need 12 fibres) and a solid branch (Big maple?) in order to hang myself soon. [tips: it's a call]

[Yellow Belly] Please, please, devs, help me !

I doubt anyone did anything. A condition changed naturally that was causing the crash, your system updated something, or something that was corrupted got downloaded again.

To note, console commands like the one Kandarim mentioned above can be entered in character select.

If you do get a crash, post the error report you get. It may help diagnose the problem.

Thank you, I was unaware about the command in character select. About the error, I logged it fully in a pastebin linked in my post.
Once again, thanks to the people who cares about my issue. Nice community :)

Yeah, I'm an idiot sometimes. I saw the link, forgot to look at it, and promptly forgot it was there. I see what Kandarim was referring to, but the problems the meshmode configuration the above fixes were primarily causing driver crashes that I was aware. This crash was purely in Java code.
