Sorry if this has been reported before.

I was moving from one level of my mine to the next and for some reason it dropped me in the midst of the rubble field I had created rather than near the ladder. That seems, at the very least, bug adjacent. Had to chip my way out.

yeah, going down a mine ladder will drop you somewhere random in its vicinity.
To be safe, don't keep anything there (although buildings are semi-safe, you can always walk out of them). Boulder collections or a bunch of wooden boxes are not a good idea, though.
This is definitely a bigger problem than it used to be now that we cannot tele out of mines anymore/mines are no longer counted as being part of your claim.

Yes, a ladder will put you anywhere in the original mine space, so it's a good idea to only store boulders and such in the area you've mined out yourself if you don't want to find yourself in a bad situation.
