If this isnt a glitch, go ahead and move it to the proper forum.

So, was mining like a ***** robot, listening to music, getting into the zone, production mode engaged..

After about 300 tiles, i start mining behind my Cementation furnaces, 6 tiles in this happens..



What the *****? Its clearly under a mine support, not even on the edge. Is this a glitch or some REALLY rare occurrence? Does the mine support not 100% prevent them?

Just the one?

My understanding is that one is normally safe, but rarely, fails you. You really want coverage with two to be totally safe. If you can afford TWO of those, you can afford the lousy supports.

Yes it was only one, Its not that i cant afford Supports, but i like to space them so i have room to build things without having to run around them all the time. I always make sure to overlap the edges to avoid the half-covered tile risk.

I wouldn't be so upset about it had it been somewhere other than RIGHT behind the furnace.. i planned to make more in a row..

This happens often enough when you mine a lot. There are quite a few things that get rolled when you mine a segment.

Now you know, and knowing makes you really pissed in hindsight, and doesn't make you feel any better.

But in the future, in the future you probably won't make this mistake.
