Just installed Oracle Java JRE to check out if that hint has merrit (hint: doesn't). Instructions are here, for anyone interested:https://www.digitalocean.com/community/ ... th-apt-get
>>> java -version
java version "1.8.0_77"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_77-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.77-b03, mixed mode)
The symptoms are exactly the same (mouse cursor invisible) as with the free Java jre. So, NO SUCCESS WITH ORACLE JAVA, either.
Yet mostly anybody on Linux will use Firefox and IcedTea (or, if absolutely unavoidable, Oracle). Does that mean, that Salem is just not intended for Linux use? Untested, unsupported and NOT WORKING? Or am I missing something?
