They are too close to the tree. The best thing you can do is to chop the tree and then remove the stump. This problem has been reported many times in the last 3 years. However, devs don't want to change that.

Sorry I didn't understand the fact that you were in the actual town of providence. I guess my question now is why are you trying to hide your items under trees in Providence? Surely there is a better place to keep your items safe...

The only thing you can try at that point is to attempt to charge to the item. It has worked for me sometimes, but your best bet is to turn run on and approach the item perpendicular to the collision surface. Past that point I believe JC has stated there won't be a fix for the whole items in cliffs/structures issue, as you're simply meant to learn not to do that.

Don't ko near trees, cliffs, walls, buildings or inside a small house, now you learn from your mistake and you won't do it again right?
