Boiled mushrooms still cause mushroom poison

Postby Ani27 » Thu Jul 09, 2015 6:15 am

On Popham (have not checked on Prov), boiled mushrooms that are used to make other foods are still causing mushroom poisoning as if they were not boiled. Is this some change we missed? Or is this an actual bug? We've tried eating just the plain boiled mushrooms with no ill effects.

Do you have to remove it and put it back in or does the boiling just happen twice in a row? Or was that just a troll answer? I'm curious because I've boiled them on Prov and it works fine.

Don't have to boil them twice, it's just a known bug that boiling shrooms sometimes doesn't remove the poison.

ok I thought it was just a yellow one but aparently not but if a mushroom that says it is boiled will let you put it back in the pot it won't hurt to boil it again just to be sure

You could also just use the non-poisonous mushrooms and still have all the biles covered.

Is still a concern for mushroom based gluttony recipes where the various shrooms is specific for the type of humor you want to raise.

I would suggest laxatives. Dunno why people hate the poison so much it is less of an inconvenience than boiling mushrooms

Even if it's a concern, this is true too. It's a minor setback for a short amount of time that you may simply chose to ignore. This is why I was and am also in favor of mushroom poisoning contributing to insanity as the labor involved to remove it would make more sense then; besides, mushroom poisoning often cause hallucinations after all so would be fitting.
