EDIT: Managed to get ender's client to work but now have an issue with the screen not loading after logging a character in.

I deleted all remnants of salem before getting the new client and this keeps stopping at this point.

how do you delete leftovers of salem and I got the same issue

I just searched for everything on my PC that was named salem and deleted it.

How long did you wait? Maybe give it some more time?

Hmm no idea then. You might try one of the custom clients, for example

I neglected to say after I logged into a character, the UI is there but the rest is a black screen with "loading.." in the middle of it.
