I'm guessing metal chests take the place as immovable chest types now.

well although i never actually tested it but when they made them immovable it seemed like a very logical change to me. so im curious why revert it? and why even bother with locks on chests ;/
I'm reasonably new to beta but I did read a thread on the paradox-salem forum about there being a bug that was resolved by making full chests unmovable.
If my memory regarding the above is correct, perhaps they fixed the bug in another way and could revert to what they intended originally regarding chests.

I think the original reason that the chests were made immobile when filled was so that bad guys would get procced by braziers by having to remove the items from the chest. But now we have this new metal chest I keep hearing about. I'm glad the chests can be picked up now, makes collecting certain ingredients much easier...think of all the time I wasted moving lime with sled+crates in the last world, ugh.

Confirmed. Metal chest with an item inside it is immovable, but can be lifted when empty.
