Logged onto an old alt, it's unable to teleport to town for a strange reason

Does it have a leanto? Maybe someone destroyed it?

Nop. You need a Leanto. You can't log out too.

never mind me then, i'm still living a couple patchnotes behind

if you really want, you can probably port it to boston by standing very close to some random thing - sometimes that works for spawning the "location occupied" message.

He would have to wait for a server crash to despawn him for that to work.

not picking something up - just standing between some open sitckfence gates or something ... wouldn't that work ?
