boiling pots

in order to boil anything in pots it seems you need to remove pot light fire, put pot back, then fill with items. It was not this way before. Not sure if its a glitch or meant to be that way. thanks

Are you sure there was enough heat in the fireplace?

it would eventually heat up and it doesn't seem to though
