Salem

So I haven't seen one topic about this, and I know a lot of people are suffering the same issue.

The server gives random 1-5 seconds lagspikes every 10-30 min.
The game freezes, no actions can be done. Then it goes back to normal.

I'm talking about server lag, not my internet-connection, not my computer.
This issue has been here for a couple weeks/months now.

I was hoping this would get fixed a long time ago, because this is really annoying and makes me play way less :s
I can imagine people raiding/fighting/doing something that can cost their character won't appreciate dying in a lagspike.

You know it's not your internet when ev1 on your TS experiences it. JC did post a week or so ago about fixing part of the issue.

We did indeed fix a pretty massive issue. We don't see any alarming performance metrics anymore but that doesn't mean we couldn't miss something.

3 seconds lag 12:23 GMT +1
5 seconds lag 14:54 GMT +1

I do lag a lot, too, but I've honestly thinking that it's caused by either my connection or the fact that my computer might just die in a way in a few months.
Sometimes I can run Salem on two clients and various other programs just fine, sometimes one client alone has major lag spikes, infinite loading screens and/or the cursor is nothing but a loading symbol for several minutes.

I saw the post by JC about this, but I can't say that anything has changed for me since then.

Open your computer and clean inside with a duster or better an air blower (don't blow too close though).

This lag is quite annoying. 2 times I have been KO'd due tonlag while hunting in the darkness..
