The game is fine except if I wander through marshes. There is this tiny flower, looks like a creamy edelweiss, that is opening/closing every few seconds. It totally freeZes me up and lags... even when I am almost in first person view.

Using a Mac, OSX 10.6.8. 3.0.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 16 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 ram. Vcard is onboard NVIDIA geForce 9400 Vram 256 mb

The issue doesn't affect my buddy who has a crappy broadband connection and is on a pc.

The odds are it's your computer. Make sure your OS, motherboard, and video drivers are all up-to-date. If everything is up-to-date, then there might be a reversion bug in the current driver. You might have to hunt through older drivers to find a compatible one. It could potentially be a Java issue on OSX, but you're the first to report this and we have several Mac users here.
