I've recently decided to give this another spin, given that a wipe has occurred. I noticed that it's now possible to form a town by letting other new players spawn near your place. So why can't my friend do it?

The error says that I have not settled, when I clearly have?

Edit: Nevermind. Seems you need a claim too, not just a homestead.

Yes. You need settling skill and a claim stone to be able to have people teleport to your base. I don't really like this as it hurts early-game parties that want to settle together.

I recommend starting a thread about it in the ideas forum.
