You probably have another bat attached to your neck. Try to remove it first (it should be in your necklace slot in the equipment window)

Yes, still getting drain. But is the beetle juice suppose to prevent church drain aswell?

Yes it is. Can one of you do me a favor and log out, then log back in, and see if the buff works then....
