He does not mind them enough to do something about it right now (and I think, with the current set-up, making them decay would also make other stuff inside the mine decay). At this point i'm all: nice to have some extra easy storage in the form of sleds, but I'm not going to cry a lot of tears if it ever gets nerfed.

Ooooh so thats why those carcasses keep disseapearing!
Well time to make 20 sleds and some signs to keep them from decaying! :)

I don't mind if they start disappearing, I just want to know if they are going to, so I'm not leaving **** in my mines and losing them.

I wonder if everything inside mines would decay, as it is no longer claimed land?

no more mine storage period, unless you wish to keep repairing.

John has already said there is no decay in mines. Your buildings etc are safe. Corpses disappearing is a completely different thing; you all know you can't leave them laying around on your land outside, claimed or not. Now, it looks like maybe you can't leave them laying around in mines and maybe not in houses either. I have no idea why this bug has become more sporadic as I don't do the coding. Something to do with the new levels? Whatever the reason, having them hang around is the bug, so best find a new way to store your carcasses if you want to be safe.

Now, please get back on the topic of Feb patch bugs, surely there are more.

From observations, Carcasses can only despawn if there is a player present in the house or mine. If the player leaves the render distance of a carcasses there is a great chance it will despawn.
So my guess is people are experiencing it more frequently now because they are now expanding there mine far enough to leave the view distance of the carcasses.
Carcasses in houses can also despawn if you go to a different floor.
