I'd argue it is the graphics card's fault either way. Non-faulty nVidia cards simply do not overheat and cause reboots. If there even is a cooling problem to begin with (which there shouldn't even be, since the cooling solution should be designed to handle the chip's TDP), they clock down to prevent overheating, so the fact that it's not doing that is already indicating that it's faulty.
Sometimes rebooting is caused by CPU when cooling fails too.
I am not sure what is causing high temperature on my laptop nvidia or cpu (i5 2.6GHz).
For me 80-100% cpu usage (only one core is so high) by java when playing Salem is standard.
I've never seen MMO with low cpu usage, so maybe that is ok, non-mmo games like Skyrim and SC2 works nice on same hardware.
Ender slowed down after update 15.11.12 on my hardware, maybe that will help in something.
Is there a way to make more custom graphical settings (I got only on/off shadows and antialiasing)?
