Poison while studying: BB drop only cured by relogging?

I'm not sure if that has been reported before: While I was studying something a snake poisoned me. I ran home and got some antidote with still at least 8 or 9 BB, ate something to refill my BB. After a few moments while going on with normal play I realized my BB was now at 5 and my food had not only not raised BB but it wasn't even stopping to drop.
I ate more but still no result, my BB kept dropping, the food visible in the bar as grey but otherwise having no effect. I could not stop the learning of course and tried to add some inspirational to get one studying bar full. But because my BB was at 1.3 bzt that time it barely did anything for studying - but kept dropping. I logged out and back in and suddenly my BB was raising quickly.

Ps: That happened with the Ender client so not sure if the same is true with the official one.

Snake bites affect phlegm (white), not black bile. You probably weren't done studying when you used the potion.

Were you still agro'd? If you were still agro'd that would account for food only replenishing the expected and not touching the current, as well as for it starting again after logging out.

No, the snake symbol had disappeared so I'm sure I wasn't aggro'd anymore. And yes, I was not done studying but if you eat something while studying the BB stops droping (at least mostly) and it uses up the food grey area mostly from my experience. But in this case I had no effect from food (not phlegm, not BB) despite a grey area but BB kept falling (and phlegm did not raise either) until I logged out. When I logged back in my values where still where they had been before logging out. I was still not done studying. But now the humors did rise as they usually do with food grey area.
